Overnight Justice Worker - CK Clarke

SLCS is currently seeking a Full Time Overnight Justice Worker within the forensic program at CK Clarke Centre.  As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention, discharge planning and support services as needed.  You will be expected to assess clients’ skills and needs, particularly in regards to their mental health and addiction issues, in addition to advocacy for clients involved in the forensic mental health care.  You will liaise with other services including hospital staff, clinical support, and community partners to coordinate care for clients as well as complete medication counts.  In addition to the clinical elements of the position, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the clients and other staff during your shift.  You will work collaboratively with other team members to complete administrative functions for this centre as well.

You will be skilled at working with clients from diverse populations as well as contributing to program development.  You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable and regulatory requirements.  SLCS has facilities throughout London and region, where the incumbent would be expected to travel locally as required.  This position is working on a 4 week rotation, working between the hours of 8pm - 8am.

Required Qualifications:

• Post secondary education from an accredited institution
• Intermediate / Standard First Aid & CPR with AED – Level C
• Valid G Class Driver’s License
• Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset
