Location: 3585 S Camino Real Washington, UT 84780 (On-site) Shift Options:
  • Hours:
    • Overnight: 10:00pm - 8:00am
  • Schedule: 
    • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday + every other Saturday
      • or
    • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + every other Saturday

 

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in southern Utah is hiring Overnight Behavioral Health Associates to support adolescent boys and girls (ages 12–17). In this role, you’ll provide overnight supervision, emotional support, safety, and structured programming, while working alongside therapists and nurses to ensure treatment goals are met. Our program offers a safe, home‑like environment where teens and families engage in relational, experiential, and evidence‑based care focused on trauma, emotional regulation, and family systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Daily routines: Support students in maintaining structured evening and overnight routines with consistency and encouragement. 
  • Crisis intervention: Use verbal de‑escalation techniques to manage emotional or behavioral escalations; apply approved physical interventions (holds/restraints) when clinically necessary to ensure safety. 

  • Crisis prevention: Apply proactive strategies to reduce risk and provide crisis management when necessary.

  • Treatment alignment: Ensure student progress aligns with individualized treatment plans developed by therapists.
  • Positive modeling: Model constructive behaviors and attitudes, reinforcing a healthy environment for clients.
  • Documentation: Maintain consistent, thorough records of client interactions, incidents, and progress.
  • Team engagement: Participate in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork and community cohesion.
  • Housekeeping tasks: Perform light daily tasks to maintain a clean, organized living space.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • High‑acuity response: Comfortable managing verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation in a residential setting.

  • Emotional regulation: Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and set firm, healthy boundaries.

  • Growth mindset: Willingness to learn and grow; candidates with strong boundary‑setting and passion for adolescent mental health are encouraged to apply, even without direct experience!

  • Adolescent experience: Background working with adolescents in behavioral health, residential, or crisis environments preferred.

Required:

  • 21+ years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to learn CPR and First-Aid.
