Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is willing and eager to learn in a fast paced steel mill environment. This job requires to be scheduled on call once fully trained,  work outdoors in all weather conditions, ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and pass a drug screen.

Job Responsibilities:

• Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying overhead crane systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on outdoor overhead cranes and other equipment on site in all types of weather conditions.

• Work independently, or as part of a crew, to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems with equipment in heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
• Identify needed parts and repair procedures
• You will be trained to perform your duties and evaluated periodically.

Motor control experience on systems with AC or DC power is desired but will be trained accordingly.
• You will be trained to perform documented safety inspections on specific types of equipment in keeping with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• HS Diploma or GED
• Eligible to work various shifts.
• Skills and experience in welding, electrical and mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Team approach to problem solving.
• Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather, and work from heights.
