Job Description

The Operations Support Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the pristine environment required for semiconductor manufacturing. This position focuses on the meticulous daily sanitation of wafer fab facilities, processing specialized cleanroom garments, and keeping essential production supplies fully stocked. This is a vital execution role that ensures the production floor remains compliant with strict cleanliness regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitation: Mop floors and wipe down walls, workstations, and external machine surfaces using cleanroom procedures and approved chemical solutions.
  • Garment Management: Collect, wash, inspect, and organize specialized cleanroom garments (bunny suits, hoods, and boots) to ensure an uninterrupted supply for the manufacturing shifts.
  • Consumable Stocking: Monitor and replenish cleanroom gowning area supplies, including face masks, gloves, hairnets, shoe covers, and lint-free wipes.
  • Waste Removal: Safely collect and empty trash, recycling, and non-hazardous waste bins from the gowning rooms and production corridors according to protocol.
  • Protocol Compliance: Strictly follow all cleanroom entry, exit, and safety protocols, including wearing cleanroom garments and required protective gear.
  • Miscellaneous: Other various responsibilities to keep manufacturing areas clean and well organized.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or warehouse stocking is preferred; specific cleanroom training will be provided on the job.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow highly specific, step-by-step cleaning procedures.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs throughout a shift while wearing a protective cleanroom suit.
  • Reliability: Strong punctuality and dependability to ensure the fab remains clean and stocked for continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Additional Information

Due to the nature of this position and the required access to areas where ITAR-controlled articles and/or technical data may be present, candidates must meet the applicable U.S. person requirements for ITAR access. This includes individuals who are:

  • A U.S. citizen or U.S. national;
  • A lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder); or

A protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
