Job Description
Operations Support Manager to provide strategic operational support through the management of rail safety, operational services and specialist operational functions while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational governance, contractor performance, continuous improvement and stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Management of Direct Reports
- Rail Operations & Rail Safety
- Operational Support & Contract Management
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk
- Continuous Improvement on Operations processes
- Rail Reform and its impact on RBCT operational rules
- Stakeholder Management- Coal Exporting parties including Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), Rail Safety Regulator (RSR) and Train Operating Companies (TOCs)
- Operational Strategy and Governance
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Logistics Management or Commercial or Engineering or Law, or a related field; 5 years' Operational Plant or Logistics knowledge, together with 5 years' senior management experience; knowledge and understanding of rail and export operations; Code EB Licence.
Skills
- Knowledge of SAP system; practical application of MS Office and PowerPoint; demonstrated leadership, analytical, facilitation, interpersonal and decision-making capabilities.
Behavioural attributes
Professionalism and initiative; analytical and presentation skills; co-ordination skills; decisiveness and effectiveness under pressure.
