A DAY IN LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Real-Time Shipment Monitoring: Monitor the end-to-end flow of cargo across the network, ensuring all shipments move according to the scheduled plan and meeting the 85% predictability target.
- Execute Cargo Manifesting: Ensure accurate and timely manifesting of all cargo, maintaining strict compliance with aviation security and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Problem Solving: Act as the first point of contact for ground handling agents (GHAs) and hubs to resolve immediate operational discrepancies, such as offloads or documentation errors.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain "zero-defect" data entry within Teleport’s operating systems (e.g., SmartKargo), ensuring real-time visibility for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate Ground Handling: Liaise with ground staff and warehouse partners to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and transit of cargo, prioritizing time-sensitive shipments.
- Support AI-Driven Workflows: Adopt and provide feedback on new AI-driven tools designed to automate routine operational tasks and improve transit time accuracy.
- Maintain Safety & Quality: Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards, contributing to the improvement of Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) by identifying and reporting systemic bottlenecks.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in air cargo operations, logistics, or ground handling. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in aviation logistics are encouraged to apply.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cargo management systems and basic office software (Google Workspace). Familiarity with airway bill (AWB) processing and manifesting is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams across the network.
- Shift Work: Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the Network Control Centre.
