Key responsibilities

1. Technical SEO

  • Own crawling, indexation, site architecture, and technical SEO for a large WordPress website.
  • Diagnose and resolve indexing, JavaScript rendering, Core Web Vitals, canonical, hreflang, structured data, and crawlability issues with the development team.
  • Manage site migrations, redirects, international SEO, and technical QA.
  • Maintain WordPress SEO infrastructure, including templates, sitemaps, and bulk page updates.

2. Keyword, Content & On-Page SEO

  • Own keyword research, intent-based clustering, keyword-to-URL mapping, and cannibalisation resolution.
  • Develop information architecture, internal linking, and scalable SEO page strategies for commercial and informational keywords.
  • Create content briefs, optimise on-page elements, and manage content refresh, consolidation, and removal.
  • Improve SERP visibility and organic conversions in collaboration with Content, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation teams.

3. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building

  • Develop the link-building and authority strategy across priority markets.
  • Manage and mentor the Off-Page SEO Executive, including link quality, paid placements, and vendor performance.
  • Lead digital PR, linkable asset development, review-platform strategy, and third-party listicle/roundup placements.
  • Manage external SEO agencies and evaluate link quality, relevance, and risk.

4. AI Search & GEO

  • Own Keka's visibility across Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase Keka's mentions, visibility, and citations across priority commercial and informational queries.
  • Build and maintain standardised prompt sets to monitor AI visibility, citations, competitor presence, cited sources, prominence, and share of voice across markets.
  • Identify citation gaps and develop strategies across Keka's content, digital PR, backlinks, review platforms, and authoritative third-party sources.
  • Analyse AI search performance and implement improvements to content structure, entity signals, structured data, internal linking, and external authority.
  • Establish GEO baselines, targets, and reporting for AI visibility, citations, share of voice, and AI referral traffic.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent brand and product information across Keka's website and authoritative third-party sources.

5. Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Use Google Search Console and GA4 to analyse organic performance, using APIs and custom reports where required.
  • Track rankings, organic traffic, and share of voice by market, separating branded and non-branded performance.
  • Build traffic-to-conversion and pipeline forecasts, with documented assumptions.
  • Work with Marketing Operations to measure organic contribution to MQLs, SQLs, and pipeline.
  • Maintain SEO and GEO dashboards and communicate performance, insights, and priorities to leadership.

What you need to have

  • 5–6 years of SEO experience, with ownership of strategy, execution, prioritisation, and results.
  • Strong technical SEO skills, including diagnosing crawling, indexing, rendering, and international SEO issues.
  • Experience developing content and keyword strategies, managing content teams, and making consolidation decisions.
  • Experience evaluating backlinks, managing link-building activities, and assessing link quality and risk.
  • Hands-on experience with AI search/GEO, including monitoring LLM visibility, analysing citations, and improving brand mentions and citations.
  • Experience building prompt sets or structured frameworks to measure AI visibility and competitor share of voice.
  • Proficiency in Semrush or Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Experience managing at least one website migration or major restructure.
  • A case study demonstrating SEO results, including baseline, timeframe, actions, outcomes, and learnings.

  • Experience in HR tech, fintech, or compliance-heavy SaaS.
  • Experience with AI search/GEO monitoring platforms.
  • SQL, Python, Apps Script, or BigQuery experience for SEO data analysis.
  • Experience with server log analysis.
  • Experience managing agency budgets, vendors, or direct reports.
  • Experience with product-led growth, free tools, self-serve trials, and SEO-driven product activation.
