Network Security Engineer L2

We’re seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer (L2) to join our Network Services Support Team. In this role, you will provide support for our customers’ network and security infrastructure. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of their systems.

Responsibilities:

Network Security Design and Implementation: 

• Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to LAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, Fortinet firewalls, and VPN services.
• Perform network traffic analysis and packet inspection to identify and resolve security or connectivity issues.
• Execute scheduled software upgrades on network and security infrastructure while ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Implement and maintain Fortinet firewall rules, security policies, and VPN configurations in accordance with security standards and best practices.
• Ensure incidents and service requests are handled within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide support as part of on-call rotation to ensure timely incident response and service restoration.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in network/network security support roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, network security principles, and core network protocols.
• Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec / SSL VPN), firewall policy management, and SD-WAN.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
• Fortinet NSE4 certification (or equivalent knowledge) is considered a strong plus.
• Experience with other vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto) is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Be available for oncall/stand by support (about 1 week per month) with rotation.
