About the Role
Vertiv is seeking an experienced and motivated National Senior Commissioning Coordinator to join our high performing Start Up Services team across Australia and New Zealand. This is a pivotal national coordination role responsible for scheduling and coordinating commissioning activities across all disciplines - including Chillers, Thermal, Precision Cooling, Power/UPS, Switchboard and Purge Rite - for data centres and mission-critical facilities.
In this role you will work closely with Service Operations Manager – Start Up Services, ANZ, Field Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure the seamless delivery of commissioning services nationally. You will be the central coordination point for field teams, customers and business partners, managing everything from scheduling and resource allocation through to administration, reporting and sales support.

Key Functions
1. National Scheduling & Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule commissioning activities nationally (VIC and NSW) across all disciplines: Chillers, Thermal, Precision Cooling, Power/UPS, STS, Switchboard and Purge Rite
- Coordinate and schedule the general duties of field staff and subcontractors across all states
- Liaise with State Operations Managers, Field Supervisors and Service Supervisors on resource allocation and scheduling priorities
- Ensure Customer Engineers are equipped with calibrated tools, PPE and appropriate documentation prior to attending site
- Schedule and manage maintenance, Start Up and reactive T&M commissioning works
- Maintain and update commissioning schedules to reflect project changes, delays or resource adjustments
2. Project & Customer Coordination
- Communicate with customers and business partners to understand their commissioning requirements, timelines and expectations
- Support the commissioning process from project award through to delivery and completion
- Manage customer accounts, prepare documentation and resolve queries within agreed timescales
- Ensure customers within your client database receive regular effective communication and consistently positive experience
- Deliver the best customer experience by minimising issues, delays and escalations
- Answer customer questions, resolve concerns and provide timely updates via phone and email
- Identify and escalate sales and service opportunities arising from commissioning activities
3. Administration, Planning & Reporting
- Collate paperwork, verify status and deliver all warranty returns to admin staff for processing
- Support field personnel in the execution of their administrative tasks
- Prepare and provide reports as requested by management (scheduling, utilisation, project status)
- Maintain and improve databases, projects and commissioning schedules
- Organise and manage commissioning files ensuring easy accessibility for the team
- Assist and support the Start Up team in their day-to-day operations
4. KPI & Data Analysis
- Prepare KPI reports and analyse commissioning and operational data
- Generate reports on team utilisation, project milestones and service delivery metrics
- Maintain and improve the database of prospects and active projects
- Identify trends and provide insights to support operational decision-making
5. WHS, Environment & Quality
- Take all necessary steps to ensure OH&S requirements are adhered to at all times
- Ensure adequate PPE is provided for all field personnel
- Support supervisors with PPE requirements of Customer Engineers
- Support compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards

What You'll Bring
Qualifications
- No formal qualification required
- Desirable: Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field
Specialist Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of ERP, SAP or Oracle systems
- Understanding of service industry operations and field service coordination
Practical Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Proven track record within the service industry managing or coordinating a field service team
- Experience in scheduling and resource coordination across multiple sites or states
- Demonstrable customer service experience with a track record of delivering positive outcomes
- Experience preparing operational reports, KPI data and project status updates
