Water Engineer  - Mobile 

 

Location: 101-125 Margaret Street OL70QQ 

Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

As Mobile Water Services Engineer, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Carrying out Water Services/Legionella Compliance works as instructed by the Water Services Manager in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ensuring that Water Services/Legionella Compliance PPM / remedial works are delivered in a timely fashion in line with the agreed PPM planner
  • Carrying out temperature testing of water outlets, inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and showerhead disinfection, associated remedial works such as tank disinfections, tank relining, tmv maintenance, minor plumbing works and any other related works as required
  • Carry out legionella risk assessment / reviews / schematics

  • Assisting in the pricing and delivery of works/small works/new tenders relating to Water Services
  • Providing technical input on project schemes/special projects as required by business needs
  • Undertaking monitoring of building Water Services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with HSC ACoP L8/HSG274 Part 2 & 3 & HTM(s) 04-01 Regs
  • Accurate completion of site Legionella Log Books where required
  • Practicing effective risk management, establishing controls, procedures, health and safety systems, audits etc which ensure that services are compliant with legislation and that contingency plans are in place
  • Operating at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health & Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection and Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM
  • Supporting other engineers in the delivery of the Water Services

To join us, we’re looking for: 

  • Experience in Hot & Cold-water systems (C&G)
  • Legionella L8 awareness & system monitoring requirements (C&G)
  • Experience in Installation and maintenance of Thermostatic mixing valves
  • Basic plumbing skills
  • Confined Spaces experience (Training will be given where required)
  • Strong working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8/HSG274 Part 1,2 & 3, HTM(s) 04-01 Regs and Water Regulations)
  • Previous experience in a Water Hygiene Engineering role
  • Ability to plan and organize workloads to meet deadlines that can be unpredictable and cause conflicting demands
  • Postholder must hold a full current driving license and be willing to travel. Flexibility in working away from home when is required
  • Demonstrate the ability to work alone in a multi site capacity.
  • Exposure to planning and delivering effective Water Services maintenance systems
