About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Mobile App Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering reliable, scalable, and user-friendly mobile experiences. You’ll work across the full mobile development lifecycle—from implementing beautiful user interfaces and integrating APIs to optimizing performance, managing releases, and continuously improving app quality.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to ship mobile applications that align with business goals and deliver exceptional user experiences.

What You’ll Own

Mobile Application Development

  • Build and maintain native or cross-platform mobile applications.
  • Develop apps using:
    • Swift / Objective-C (iOS)
    • Kotlin / Java (Android)
    • React Native
    • Flutter
  • Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces from Figma or Sketch designs.
  • Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable production code.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop unit and UI tests using:
    • XCTest
    • Espresso
    • Jest
  • Maintain high automated test coverage.
  • Debug crashes, performance issues, and OS compatibility problems.
  • Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Release Management

  • Manage releases through:
    • TestFlight
    • Apple App Store
    • Google Play Console
    • Enterprise deployment platforms
  • Prepare release notes, versioning, and store metadata.
  • Ensure compliance with Apple and Google Play submission guidelines.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor applications using:
    • Firebase Crashlytics
    • Sentry
    • New Relic
  • Improve:
    • Startup performance
    • Memory usage
    • Battery efficiency
    • Application responsiveness
  • Identify and resolve production issues proactively.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with designers to deliver pixel-perfect implementations.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API integrations.
  • Participate in sprint planning, standups, and technical discussions.
  • Document code, release processes, and technical workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement secure storage using:
    • iOS Keychain
    • Android Keystore
  • Secure APIs using OAuth2 and JWT authentication.
  • Follow best practices for mobile application security.
  • Support compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other applicable standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
  • Experience developing applications using:
    • Swift or Kotlin
    • React Native or Flutter
  • Experience publishing applications to:
    • Apple App Store
    • Google Play Store
  • Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as:
    • Fastlane
    • Bitrise

Core Skills

  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture.
  • Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience implementing responsive and accessible mobile interfaces.
