Context
In the framework of a high-profile infrastructure project in Portugal, SYSTRA is looking for a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) lead.
Missions/Main Duties
The MEP Lead will oversee the MEP design for transportation infrastructure buildings. He/She will be based in Porto, Portugal.

Leadership & Coordination:
Â
- Lead the MEP engineering team in the design and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for transportation infrastructure buildings.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive design integration.
- Manage and mentor junior MEP engineers and provide technical guidance.
Design & Development:
- Develop comprehensive MEP designs that meet project requirements, including sustainability and energy efficiency standards.
- Review and approve MEP design plans, calculations, and specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
Profile/Skills
EDUCATION:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, with significant experience in the design and construction of train stations or similar infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of leading MEP teams and managin complex projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
Â
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit) and project management tools.
- Proficiency in English required, Fluency in Portuguese is a nice to have
