Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty high complexity testing reference laboratories. Regardless of your experience in this field, we have a position tailored to your skill level.

What to Expect
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Base Wage: Medical Lab Scientist I - II (Must Meet Requirements for Level as per Job Description)
Base Wage: 32.17 - 42.55 per hour.
Weekend Shift Differential 8%
Medical Lab Scientist I
- 1 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting state Clinical Lab Scientist requirements and certification.
- Pay: 32.17
Medical Lab Scientist II
- MLS/BB certification required.
- 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- Pay: 35.89

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to
- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
- Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
- State licensure as required by regulations.
- Minimum two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or Blood Banking certification required.
