We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Roselle, IL. This individual will support the same core engineering activities currently performed by our California-based team while helping establish and expand our engineering presence within the Roselle manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through testing, validation, production launch, and ongoing manufacturing support. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems, improving products, and helping build processes and capabilities for the future.

Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Research, design, and develop mechanical components and assemblies for bath and sanitary products
    • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and specifications using SolidWorks
    • Develop product concepts and support new product development activities from concept through production launch
    • Create and maintain BOMs, engineering releases, and technical documentation
    • Support mold development and tooling design for new products
    • Design and build test equipment, gauges, fixtures, and validation setups
    • Conduct first article inspections and testing
    • Develop test plans, validation reports, and compliance documentation
    • Lead product validation efforts including: reliability testing, durability testing, performance testing, flow testing
    • Evaluate and validate products sourced from domestic and international suppliers
    • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and present findings to leadership
    • Partner closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure product readiness
    • Troubleshoot production and assembly issues
    • Support production ramp-up activities for new products
    • Respond to and resolve internal quality concerns
    • Ensure designs are manufacturable and support efficient production processes
    • Train and support manufacturing personnel on new products and production processes

Compensation : $87,000 + based on experience

  • 5 + years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Strong foundation in fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design
  • Experience supporting new product development (NPD/NPI)
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Experience creating engineering drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Manufacturing or plant-floor engineering experience
  • Background in high-volume, process-oriented industries such as Automotive, Appliances, Plumbing Products, Refrigeration, or comparable manufacturing settings is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CNC programming (highly desirable)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
