Job Summary

Develops and implements thermal and mechanical engineering solutions. Analyses components and system performance to optimize hardware functionalities and reliability. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve product designs.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Specialized in thermal and mechanical engineering. Develops and implements solutions to meet performance and reliability requirements from concept through product release. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance hardware designs.
Responsible for the design, development, testing and documenting of a system, subsystem, or a component as part of an overall architecture. Ensure that engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with project goals and industry standards.
Applies the latest technology and research findings/results into engineering designs solutions and design rules.
Works with an outside-in view in order to understand and fulfil customer and market requirements as well as competitive alternatives. Work closely with the global competence community and Research organization to stay updated with the latest insights in innovations and technical breakthroughs.
Designs, realizes, tests (sub-) systems or components based on design requirements and produces specs for the product and propositions.
Drives IP creation and protection (Patents, Trade secrets, Copyrights).
Writes, updates and maintains development reports and project deliverables.
Depending on grade, contributes to and drives technology road mapping.
Depending on grade, provides coaching and mentoring within the team to support effective use of available knowledge and skills, both internally and externally.

Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a closely related field, providing foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Experience in thermal and mechanical design and analysis within research and development environments, focusing on hardware innovation and product development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering is highly recommended to validate technical competence and adherence to industry standards.
