What You'll Do
- Assist in the design of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
- Prepare drawings, calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other project disciplines.
- Participate in client meetings, design coordination meetings, and site reviews.
- Perform site investigations and assist with documenting existing conditions.
- Review shop drawings and support construction administration activities.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and HIDI design practices.
- Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable building design solutions.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered (or eligible to register) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Revit is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative attitude and a desire to learn from experienced professionals.
- Knowledge of mechanical building systems is considered an asset.
