Purpose of the Role
To plan, deliver, and assess the teaching and learning process of Mathematics at the secondary school level, fostering students' critical, logical, and analytical thinking skills. The Mathematics Teacher contributes to the holistic development of students within an international learning environment by promoting problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and the practical application of mathematical concepts, aligned with ISP’s mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and academic programs.
- Develop instructional units, learning activities, projects, and educational resources that promote meaningful mathematics learning.
- Deliver lessons that develop competencies in algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, calculus, and other mathematical disciplines according to the assigned grade levels.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning through engaging and student-centered instructional methodologies.
- Implement differentiated instructional strategies to address diverse learning styles and student needs.
- Promote the application of mathematical concepts in real-world and interdisciplinary contexts.
- Integrate technology tools and digital resources to enhance learning and facilitate mathematical visualization.
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and achievement.
- Provide timely feedback and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and academic performance.
- Prepare academic reports in accordance with institutional guidelines.
- Maintain effective and professional communication with students, parents, and guardians.
- Actively participate in academic meetings, professional development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate in academic, scientific, cultural, and extracurricular activities organized by the institution.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Licentiate Degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Educational Mathematics, or a related field.
- Membership in the corresponding professional association, where applicable.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level.
- Experience in planning, developing, and implementing mathematics curricula and academic programs.
- Knowledge and application of modern teaching methodologies, including project-based learning, collaborative learning, and differentiated instruction.
- Experience in competency-based assessment and academic performance analysis.
- Ability to integrate educational technology and learning platforms into the teaching and learning process.
- Ability to develop innovative instructional materials and engaging learning experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with students in multicultural and international environments.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred for collaboration in an international academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bilingual, international, or International Baccalaureate (IB) schools.
- Experience teaching intermediate and advanced-level Mathematics courses.
- Experience preparing students for national or international standardized assessments.
- Additional certifications or professional development in Mathematics Education, Educational Technology, or innovative teaching methodologies.
- Experience leading academic clubs, mathematics competitions, Olympiads, or STEM-related extracurricular activities.
- Knowledge of educational platforms, mathematics software, and data analysis tools applied to teaching and learning.
