Working under direct supervision of the Distribution Supervisor, the Material Handling and Shipping Lead operates powered forklift trucks to locate all inbound products coming efficiently and accurately from the receiving department to physical locations in the facility. Additionally, the use of forklifts is necessary to perform the stock transfers inside the four walls of operation, transfer of completed Work Orders leaving the Configuration Lab, as well as the pulling of Work Orders going into the Configuration Lab and performing cycle counts on all products in the facility. The Lead works closely with management in the scheduling of work assignments, provides direction and support for the Material Handling team members daily. The Lead is responsible for covering specific administrative tasks in the absence of the supervisor, including submitting Cycle Count jobs for the team, validating, resolving variances, and providing the findings to the Inventory Control Team nightly. When required, the Lead sends out nightly status reports to the senior leadership team, leads projects that involve Item Identification changes or to reorganize warehouse locations. The Lead ensures work is printed and disbursed to the appropriate associates and moves associates based on demand. The Lead also communicates with Inventory Control to resolve inventory issues, and keeps a well maintained, updated account of the Inventory within the warehouse. The Lead works on order issues throughout the day including, but not limited to, duplicate serial numbers, serial number flag missing or incorrect, negative inventory, and missing product.

Primary Job Duties
· Operates powered forklift trucks to locate all inbound products coming efficiently and accurately from the receiving department to physical locations in the facility and to perform stock transfers.
· Records the correct quantity stocked
· Applies UPC’s and Lot Numbers as required when locating product
· Processes all Work Order requests for the Configuration Lab
· Meets Material Handling and Shipping deadlines
· Performs scheduled cycle counts of all products to validate inventory integrity.
· Researches and resolves product variances in warehouse locations.
· Assists in balancing the daily labor resources for material handling and/or shipping.
· Supports meeting the daily objectives set by Leadership to ensure daily goals are accomplished for all departments.
· Demonstrates the standard of performance expected in each area daily.
· Provides a consistent job resource for co-workers on the proper procedures in executing the job tasks.
· Communicates out the Nightly Fulfillment Report and Cycle Count Tasks Completed.
· Oversees daily shipping activities, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and on time.
· Assigns tasks and manage the workflow of warehouse personnel to optimize shipping operations.
· Inspects outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and proper packaging.
· Ensures adherence to safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies within the shipping area.
· Troubleshoots issues related to shipping delays, incorrect orders, or damaged goods and work to resolve them efficiently.
· Trains and mentors shipping staff on procedures, technology, and best practices.
· Identifies areas for efficiency improvements within the material handling and/or shipping department and implements solutions.
· Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
