GENERAL PURPOSE
At our Morganton, NC warehouse location, the Material Handler plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Receive, store, and stage raw materials, components, and finished goods according to established procedures.

• Pull, deliver, and track parts and materials to production areas in a timely and accurate manner to support manufacturing schedules.

• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts safely and in accordance with company policies.

• Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and documentation processes.

• Perform material transactions in the system to ensure accurate inventory control and traceability.

• Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and material audits as needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following all safety and 5S guidelines.

• Cross-train in other warehouse or production support functions to provide operational flexibility.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

Education/Experience

• One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

• Prior material handling or warehouse experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.

Skills and Abilities

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with production and logistics teams.

• Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to a continually changing environment.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.

• Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking preferred.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift for extended periods.

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.
