About the position:

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials are properly received, stored, transported, and supplied to production teams. This position is responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient workflow to help meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and willing to assist across various departments as business needs require

 

 

 

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

As a Material Handler, you will work closely with the Area Lead to prepare and stage materials for upcoming work orders to support production requirements and ensure on-time customer delivery. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, receiving, sorting, labeling, and stocking incoming materials, and transporting raw materials and finished products throughout the facility using a sit-down forklift. This role requires maintaining accurate daily movement logs of materials transferred between inventory and production areas, performing inventory cycle counts to ensure tracking accuracy, and supporting warehouse organization and material storage processes. You will safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Success in this role requires effective communication with team members and supervisors, adherence to company safety policies and core values, and a willingness to assist production and other departments as needed to support overall operational goals.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience.
  • Sit-down forklift operating experience.
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
  • Manufacturing or production environment experience.

 

Physical Demands

  • Regularly bend, twist, stoop, push, and pull materials and equipment.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to moving machinery, forklift traffic, and industrial equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required based on assigned tasks and work areas.
