Job Title: Marketing Officer Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Industry: Hospitality Role Overview Our client is a family-owned 40-room hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, seeking an experienced Marketing Officer to lead and coordinate the hotel's marketing activities and strengthen its visibility, bookings and guest engagement. The successful candidate will manage digital marketing and social media, online reputation, OTA platforms, promotions, guest communications and marketing activities for conferences, events and other hotel facilities. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement the hotel's marketing plans and campaigns. • Manage the hotel's social media and digital marketing activities. • Create engaging content to promote rooms, facilities, dining, events and special offers. • Manage and optimise Online Travel Agency (OTA) listings and content. • Monitor and improve the hotel's online reputation and guest reviews. • Coordinate promotions, campaigns and seasonal marketing initiatives. • Support marketing and sales activities for conferences, events and hotel facilities. • Develop guest communications, newsletters and promotional materials. • Monitor competitor activities, market trends and customer preferences. • Track marketing performance and prepare regular reports. • Work closely with Front Office, Sales, Food & Beverage and Management teams to align marketing activities with business objectives. Requirements Candidate Requirements • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Communications or a related field. • 7–10 years' experience in marketing within established hotels or resorts. • Strong experience in digital marketing and social media management. • Practical experience managing OTAs and online hotel listings. • Experience in online reputation management and guest engagement. • Strong content creation, communication and campaign management skills. • Knowledge of hospitality marketing trends and customer acquisition strategies. • Strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills. • Valid Kenyan Passport. • Willingness to relocate and work in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
