About this role

Job Description Summary:

As a member of the Finance Hub Tax Technology team, the Manager, Tax Technology plays a crucial role in supporting Indirect Tax and Finance operations by ensuring that indirect tax (e.g., VAT, GST, sales tax) technology and processes are efficient, compliant, and seamlessly integrated within the organisation’s financial systems.

This specialist acts as a bridge between  Tax, Corporate Finance, Finance Hub business operations (OTC, P2P, RTR) and IT teams, enabling the business to keep pace with evolving tax regulations while leveraging technology for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance, tax, and IT departments to implement and maintain indirect tax technology solutions (e.g. Vertex, e-invoicing solutions, support with SAP indirect tax configuration).
  • Support the integration of indirect tax requirements into finance operations and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Analyse current indirect tax processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on indirect tax technology, providing guidance on system enhancements and configuration.
  • Lead or assist in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of indirect tax technology projects.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to tax data, reporting, and compliance in finance systems.
  • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet regulatory standards and business needs.
  • Develop and deliver training to finance and tax teams on the effective use of indirect tax technologies.
  • Stay abreast of changes in indirect tax legislation and emerging technologies to ensure ongoing compliance, efficiency, and best practice.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with VAT tax determination, including interpreting VAT regulations and applying them to transactional scenarios (chain flows, Triangulation, High-Seas, etc.,) and define their expected tax treatment

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience implementing  indirect tax processes (VAT, GST, sales tax) and how to use technology to meet compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience supporting or implementing finance and tax technology solutions (such as SAP, Vertex, Edicom or MS D365).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in a systems environment.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for effective collaboration.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate tax technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Project management experience is desirable.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

  • Highly motivated and have the ability to work autonomously and independently, while also being comfortable working within the dynamics of a team across different time zones

This role will report to the Senior Director I, Finance Systems Lead in finance Hub, and be based in Poland.

Base Salary: 163000 PLN to 253000 PLN

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage: 15%
