Job Description:
Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP, or other industry-specific quality systems.
- Lead internal and external audits and coordinate corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformance investigations, internal defects, and quality improvement activities.
- Responsible for monitoring process data, validating check frequency per the corporate requirements, and reporting concerns to supervision.
- Operate several web-based databases for quality data and supplier performance.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems.
- Oversee product and process quality assurance activities.
- Ensure effective control of documentation, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
- Lead supplier quality improvement efforts and collaborate with procurement on supplier performance issues.
- Maintain quality equipment through calibration and external repair.
- Review all process control records, spoilage collections, and entry of all defective material related data.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop and execute strategic continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction activities.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Champion problem-solving methodologies such as:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- 8D
- PDCA
- DMAIC
- Monitor project effectiveness and sustain gains through standardization and control plans.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence programs.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop quality and continuous improvement personnel.
- Train employees in quality tools, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and customer service teams.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze quality and operational performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI scorecards.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools to support process improvements.
- Present findings and recommendations to plant and senior leadership
