Manager I / Front line manager is accountable for the overall direction and operations of our site a team of 20-25 employees, creating a culture of customer obsession, high performance and high-quality throughput.

Key job responsibilities
• Should be a Graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience out of which 18 Months should be as team leader / team manager
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
• Excellent / V Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Very good Presentation, Feedback & Coaching skills
• Ability to observe, analyze and identify process improvement opportunities
• Highly energetic & enthusiastic
• Should be able to lead by examples
• Hands on experience on MS-Office, preferably on MS-Excel and Power Point
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and ensure deadlines are met without compromising on quality
• Basic data handling and Data interpretation skills
• Should be comfortable with 24x7 rotational shifts
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel and other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed, is a plus.
• Communicating with Internal customers (ACES, Training, Quality etc.) – Drive and execute bar-raising initiatives aimed at hiring and developing top talent and build career development road-map for the associates.

A day in the life
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 20–25 associates engaged in ML data annotation operations from virtual or work-from-office spaces; scale and transition across 2–3 programs based on business needs
• Ensure process deliverables per SLA and deliver on operational & qualitative KPIs (APL, SPL, Quality scores); conduct regular 1:1s and team performance reviews
• Generate reports on team performance and SOPs, and provide actionable insights to Senior Leadership
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the development of audit methodologies, checklists, and test frameworks to enhance data generation productivity
• Translate organizational vision into actionable goals; promote a culture of continuous learning and build career development roadmaps for associates
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (ACES, Training, Quality) and collaborate with remote, multi-cultural teams to execute bar-raising initiatives

 Amazon Robotics develops state-of-the art robotics for Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers. Come build the future of human-technology interaction with us. We are combining computer vision, mobile robots, advanced end-of-arm tooling, and a high degree of freedom of movement to solve real-world problems on a huge scale. Our team collaborates with a variety of customers across Amazon worldwide to conceive, develop, prototype, and deploy a wide range of robotic systems. Within Amazon Robotics, Global Operations - Artificial Intelligence (GO-AI) enables Amazon to accelerate and scale our machine learning transformation via human-in-the-loop support.

Basic qualifications

- Should be a Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience out of which 18 Months should be as team leader / team manager
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays- Knowledge of – Microsoft Office products and applications, especially MS Excel & Word at an advanced level

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility in an ML/AI data operations environment
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL) and Advanced Excel; experience working with and analyzing large datasets to drive business improvements
- Familiarity with ML data annotation workflows, labeling tools, or AI/ML program operations
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools or Green Belt certification • Experience working in geographically distributed, multi-cultural team environments
- Ability to perform ad hoc reporting, pull data from multiple systems, and translate insights into operational decisions
