Make a Difference Through Conversation in Rockdale 

An older gentleman living in Rockdale would enjoy the companionship of a volunteer for regular one-on-one visits. A WWII veteran with a lifetime of fascinating experiences, he enjoys engaging conversations and sharing stories from the past.

Living with family and supported by carers, he is well cared for but can feel lonely during the day when loved ones are busy. A friendly volunteer could provide valuable social connection through relaxed conversation and companionship.

Weekly or fortnightly visits 30-minute visits - Between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday  

A simple visit and a listening ear could make a meaningful difference while offering the chance to connect with someone who has nearly a century of stories to share. 



Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week-

 Monday to Sunday

 Flexible times: anywhere between 9am and 5pm

 30 minutes to 1 hour per visit
