Job Summary

As Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will support the daily functions of the Maintenance department. In addition, they will provide technical support & expertise on equipment and building maintenance projects including installation, design & costing.

Principal Responsibilities

• Oversee the functions related to maintenance, engineering, and plant projects

• Monitor & schedule maintenance activities for plant equipment & the building

• Develop, implement & maintain a preventative maintenance program that will maximize the productivity of the equipment/tooling

• Manage the capital budget expenditures for the facility as they relate to the maintenance department

• Analyze job costing and material reports and review financial records to ensure projects are in line with the budget

• Source new process equipment and materials, research benchmarking of new processes for continuous improvement to meet changing needs

• Monitor and manage the energy control, live work and working at heights programs including developing & reviewing work instructions

• Maintain contractor management program and act as an onsite project supervisor to contractors, third parties or employees for projects to run according to schedule and prepare progress reports

• Maintain accurate and up to date reference manuals and materials for all equipment & machinery

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree/Diploma in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience within a maintenance department

• 5 or more years’ progressive leadership experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance department

• Prior Maintenance experience in Plastics industry, focus on Injection Molding highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of mechanical concepts and extensive experience with electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical work

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills

• Ability to lead and motivate others
