Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Maintenance Expert - Rail to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of rail infrastructure and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to minimizing operational downtime through efficient and systematic maintenance practices.

  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic assessments of rail infrastructure, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on rail equipment, components, and systems in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
  • Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify trends, optimize maintenance schedules, and improve operational efficiency
  • Execute troubleshooting procedures to diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely solutions to restore functionality
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance metrics
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies during all maintenance operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruption to rail operations
  • Operate and maintain specialized diagnostic tools and equipment used in rail maintenance activities
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, or modifications based on performance analysis and maintenance history
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices and emerging maintenance technologies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in rail infrastructure maintenance or related heavy equipment maintenance environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently
  • Comprehensive knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and maintenance management systems
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols, regulatory compliance requirements, and industry standards specific to rail operations
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document findings and recommendations clearly
  • Preferred: Certifications or credentials in rail maintenance, equipment diagnostics, or related technical fields
  • Preferred: Experience with specific rail equipment types or systems (locomotives, rolling stock, signaling systems, etc.)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and digital documentation platforms
  • Preferred: Project management experience or background in coordinating maintenance initiatives
