Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Engineer, you will be a critical technical leader, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of facilities, equipment, and systems.Every day, you will design and implement preventive maintenance programs, conduct root cause analyses, and develop repair strategies. You'll oversee projects, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and collaborate to improve efficiency and operational integrity.To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong engineering foundation, advanced technical troubleshooting skills, proven project management abilities, and a proactive, analytical mindset to minimize downtime and maximize asset life.

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical/electrical equipment to include but not limited to boilers, emergency generators, HVAC and related equipment in a quality and timely manner. Performs periodic tests per codes and requirements. Ensures that all essential equipment is in good working order; diagnosis equipment for repairs to keep downtime at a minimum. Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of required equipment. Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition; keeps equipment rooms clean and in good order. Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders.
  • Performs a variety of building maintenance tasks to include the skilled trades as required. (e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing). Assists in maintaining the outside areas and grounds, as necessary. Assembles/installs furniture and may perform lock-smith tasks. 
  • Completes and maintains accurate records and logs. Completes paperwork for assigned equipment and logs information as necessary. Documents repairs and orders made for parts and materials. Files all necessary paperwork.
  • Tests and evaluates equipment prior to putting into service. Logs results and tags devises. Delivers or installs equipment once evaluated as being in working order.
  • Orders and receives parts and materials to make necessary repairs on related equipment. Ensures the correct stock levels/parts and materials are ordered.
  • Lead Job Duties: Assists in making work assignments to staff for specific jobs; assigns and distributes work orders and preventative maintenance tasks. Inspects work to ensure that workmanship meets quality and productivity standards and complies with safety building codes and regulations. Assists with the work order system and preventative maintenance program.

Job Requirements

Required

  • three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. and
  • One year of work experience in the core level of the job family or
  • any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Preferred

  • Boiler Operator: WA, upon hire
