About this role

Temporary Position - October 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027

Kinsight is an accredited non-profit organization. We work alongside families of children, youth and adults with developmental delays or disabilities to support growth, development and personal well-being. We work with hundreds of community members and professionals to welcome and include all people, and foster vibrant and healthy communities. We serve the communities of New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. Our mission is to provide options and opportunities for people to have meaningful relationships and fulfilling lives.

About L.I.F.E. Services

L.I.F.E. stands for Learning, Inclusion, Friendship and Employment.
The program is part of CLBC’s Community Inclusion category of services. It is available to anyone served by CLBC who has an employment goal, and who also want support to increase confidence and independence, connect to the community, learn new things, build friendships and a network of natural support around them. L.I.F.E. Services are designed to respond to the natural rhythm of a person’s life, and adjusts supports provided over time in response to people's changing goals and needs. The supports offered through L.I.F.E. services enable people to personalize, direct and evaluate their services in a way that works for them.

Kinsight is seeking a L.I.F.E. Services Guide

The Guide works closely with people who use the service to co-design, deliver, evaluate and continually improve the effectiveness of the service.  L.I.F.E. Services focus on a blend of supports aimed at assisting people to achieve their ambitions related to employment, community connection and lifelong learning.  L.I.F.E. service strategies incorporate the development and strengthening of informal support networks and personal skill and confidence enhancement.

We think the Guide is someone who would describe themselves like this…

“I have a knack for unconventional problem solving and huge reservoir of ideas I am eager to share. I am up to date on all the current best practices around supporting people to connect in community, expand their informal support circles and find work, and yet I am ready to push forward and invent the next best practices. My knowledge, experience and insights fuel my forward movement rather than anchor me in place.

And, I am happy with a flexible work schedule based within Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland. I am savvy with technology and comfortable connecting with others virtually.

And, I have the energy and optimism to start something new!

Does that sound like you?

If so, please apply and include a cover letter and resume.
