Legal Officer

As a Legal Officer, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with the Collections department to navigate legal complexities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the company's operations adhere to legal requirements, mitigating risks, and maintaining a positive reputation. This role offers a unique chance to apply your legal knowledge in a dynamic business environment.

• Provide legal advice and support to the Collections team, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies, to protect the company's interests.
• Research and analyze legal issues, staying updated on relevant legislation and case law.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential legal risks and challenges.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations as required.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of legal matters and ensure proper filing and storage.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's business objectives.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and other professionals to seek expert advice when needed.
• Conduct training sessions and provide legal awareness to relevant teams within the organization.

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree is mandatory, with a strong academic record.
• Admission to the local bar or equivalent legal qualification is essential.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar legal role, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Excellent knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and relevant industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to stay updated on legal developments.
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to legal documentation and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
