About this role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel – Managing Associate to provide high-quality legal advice, manage complex legal matters, and support the organization in mitigating legal and commercial risks. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate law, technical/legal matters, and banking & finance, with proven experience handling sophisticated cases and advising business stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws, preferably from a reputable Philippine law school.
- Candidates from leading law schools such as Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, University of the Philippines College of Law, or San Beda University College of Law (Mendiola, Manila) are preferred.
- Admitted to the Bar / duly licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, financial institution, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling corporate and commercial legal matters.
- Strong experience in banking and finance law, including financial transactions, contracts, and related documentation.
- Experience dealing with technical legal matters, complex contractual issues, or legally and commercially sophisticated projects.
- Strong knowledge of applicable corporate, commercial, banking, finance, and regulatory laws.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

- Experience managing or supervising junior legal professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Experience working with financial institutions, corporate clients, or regulated industries.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
