Job Summary

Optimizes manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Develops and implements production plans to meet quality and safety standards.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility
This role is responsible for introducing new products in Production Units and setup of optimized processes and equipment
Creates required conditions to win in the marketplace through fast and efficient NPIs (time to market), and highly efficient production (zero defect, target output). Develops standards supporting production system
Ensures optimized product designs (DfMA) by representing manufacturing in product development and maintenance project teams : e.g. APC (Architecture & Platform Creation), NPDL (New Product Development & Launch), ETO (Engineering to Order), LCM (Life Cycle Management)
Acts as project leader for improvement (production, documentation).
Creates and maintains technical conditions in a way that the production process does not get disrupted
Implementation of new products and processes including product and technology transfers and related technical aspects.
Contributes to team at startup in production through technical support and guidance
Takes improvement actions to reach target quality and efficiency applying various tools & methodologies (e.g. LEAN)
Problem solving & coaching
Manages and Trains Project staff
Analyzes manufacturing workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Designs and implements process improvements to enhance productivity.
Monitors production metrics to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to coordinate engineering projects.
Conducts time and motion studies to optimize resource allocation.
Develops cost-effective solutions to manufacturing challenges.
Ensures adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing operations.

 

Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is required to ensure foundational knowledge in production processes and systems optimization.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environments focusing on new product introduction (NPI), process optimization, and production system improvements to effectively lead projects and implement efficient manufacturing solutions.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is essential to apply continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques critical to achieving zero defect and target output goals.
