  • Solve at scale: Engineer reliable, high-performing systems that support growing data volumes and evolving analytics capabilities.

  • Own production quality: Build for reliability, performance, observability, scalability, data quality, and operational excellence from development through production.

  • Drive technical decisions: Evaluate architectural approaches, communicate tradeoffs, and translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.

  • Modernize and improve: Help evolve Gauge's application, streaming, and data-processing capabilities while improving engineering practices and how the team builds and delivers software.

  • Raise the engineering bar: Mentor engineers, lead thoughtful code and design reviews, share best practices, and improve engineering standards across the team.

  • Partner across teams: Collaborate with product, analytics, business, and engineering teams to turn trusted data into capabilities and insights used across Lowe’s.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of software development experience building and delivering complex production applications.

  • Strong hands-on experience building backend-leaning full-stack applications, with depth in modern backend services and frontend development.

  • Experience designing and building event-driven or streaming systems and working with data-intensive applications.

  • Working knowledge of analytics and data pipelines, including data collection, transformation, validation, and downstream consumption.

  • Experience driving architecture and technical design, evaluating tradeoffs, and translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.

  • Technical leadership experience through mentoring, code and design reviews, engineering standards, or leading complex initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.

Our Technology:

Gauge combines modern application development with streaming data and analytics. We're looking for engineers with strong experience across our core technologies and the ability to learn as the platform evolves.

  • Streaming & Data Processing: Kafka, Apache Flink

  • Data & Analytics: Analytics, data pipelines, data validation and transformation

It's a Plus If:

  • You've worked with Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics platforms.

  • You've built or supported high-volume event, streaming, data-collection, or analytics platforms.

  • You've helped modernize large-scale enterprise applications or data-intensive systems.
