About this role

Key Responsibilities Premium Accounting
  • Record and reconcile ceded and assumed premiums.
  • Review treaty and facultative reinsurance transactions.
  • Process premium adjustments and bookings.
Claims Accounting
  • Book claim reserves and claim settlements.
  • Maintain reinsurance recoverable balances.
  • Monitor outstanding claims and recoveries.
Reinsurance Recoverables & Settlements
  • Calculate and reconcile reinsurance recoverables.
  • Prepare and issue statements to reinsurers.
  • Manage collections and payments with reinsurers.
Reporting
  • Prepare management and regulatory reports.
  • Support statutory and GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Monitor aging of recoverables and cash balances.
Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of Insurance & Reinsurance Accounting.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Treaty Reinsurance
    • Facultative Reinsurance
    • Ceded & Assumed Business
    • Premium Accounting
    • Claims Accounting
    • IBNR, UPR, DAC
    • Reinsurance Recoverables
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Responsible for accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis of reinsurance transactions including ceded and assumed business. Ensure accuracy of premium, claims, reserves, commissions, recoverables, and settlements while supporting month-end and year-end financial close activities.
