Position Overview
The License Compliance Representative is a key member of Autodesk's Global License Compliance (GLC) team, responsible for protecting Autodesk's intellectual property while driving revenue recovery and promoting fair software usage.
In this role, you will manage a high volume of License Compliance opportunities, qualify and close compliance cases, and engage customers to resolve licensing issues through commercial agreements. You will work directly with customers, partners, and cross-functional Autodesk teams to increase customer compliance, convert non-paying users into paying customers, and grow Annual Order Value (AOV) across a variety of industries.
Success in this role is measured by compliance conversion, revenue generation, achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets, and the ability to deliver positive customer outcomes while protecting Autodesk's intellectual property.
Responsibilities
Manage a high volume of License Compliance leads and opportunities from qualification through commercial resolution
Engage customers daily, including executive and C-level stakeholders, to identify and resolve software compliance issues using Autodesk telemetry and analytics tools
Explain intellectual property or contractual licensing violations, negotiate commercial resolutions, and agree on mutually acceptable remediation plans
Initiate software usage reviews, warning letters, and audit requests while guiding customers through the compliance and audit process
Present software usage findings and audit results, negotiate licensing resolutions, and drive investment in Autodesk software
Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders while effectively delivering sensitive compliance-related communications
Interpret telemetry data and audit reports to communicate compliance risks and recommend appropriate licensing solutions
Develop a strong understanding of Autodesk licensing models, software administration, products, and industry trends
Prepare customer quotations to support compliance-related software purchases
Maintain an accurate pipeline of License Compliance opportunities using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce CRM)
Collaborate with Territory Sales, Strategic Sales, Mid-Market Sales, Technical Specialists, Customer Success, Channel Management, and Legal teams to ensure successful compliance engagements
Accurately forecast quarterly and annual License Compliance sales performance
Minimum Qualifications
1–2 years of relevant experience in Sales Support, License Compliance, Inside Sales, Maintenance Renewals, Service Renewals, or a related customer-facing role
Minimum of 1 year of sales experience
Professional fluency in Japanese and strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment
Strong computer proficiency, including internet applications, Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce CRM), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and email applications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related discipline
Previous experience in License Compliance, Inside Sales, Customer Renewals, or software sales
Understanding of software licensing models, software license agreements, and commercial contracts
Experience engaging with business owners, executives, and senior decision-makers during sales, licensing, or collections activities
Experience working within the software or Software as a Service (SaaS) industry

Maintains accurate opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline discipline
Continuously develops knowledge of Autodesk products, licensing models, and industry trends
Thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining a high standard of customer service
