ABOUT THE POSITION
Join VHB as a Land Development Project Manager to help grow our expanding and innovative team in Winooski, Vermont. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our diverse range of clients include ski resorts, real estate, renewable energy, infill development, and state and municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization
- Oversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammates
- Prepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Analyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions
- Promote career development, training and career path planning for all of your direct team members
- Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects
Skills and Attributes
- Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills
- Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
- Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential
- Has interest in growing business development skills
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
- 8-11+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects preferred
- PE licensure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD required, GIS experience a plus
- Solid understanding of the typical land entitlement process in VT including permitting at the local and state level preferred
The full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Vermont, is $105,000 to $135,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.
Annual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
