About this role

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Laboratory Technician  As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing to provide reliable and analytical services to Operations and customers in a timely manner.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Completes material analysis to determine characteristics and waste profiles of all incoming waste samples in accordance with laboratory operations and procedure manuals
  • Completes analysis of samples from plant systems to confirm conformance with proper operating limits, and residual analysis from incineration processes to determine land disposal restrictions
  • Operates and assists with the productive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Utilizes and upholds good laboratory practices (e.g. QA/QC, safety, documentation, maintenance/minor repairs, housekeeping, professionalism)
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field (required)

Experience

  • 1+ year of environmental/industrial laboratory experience (preferred)
