About this role
- Perform biochemical analysis of blood, urine, body fluids, and other clinical specimens.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain biochemistry analyzers and laboratory equipment.
- Process and prepare specimens according to established laboratory protocols.
- Conduct routine, special, and emergency biochemistry investigations.
- Ensure accurate recording, validation, and reporting of test results within stipulated TAT.
- Monitor internal quality control (IQC) and participate in external quality assurance (EQA) programs.
- Identify and troubleshoot analyzer errors and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain laboratory records, reagent inventory, and documentation as per NABL/NABH standards.
- Follow biosafety, infection control, and waste disposal guidelines.
- Coordinate with clinicians and other laboratory personnel for result clarification and critical value reporting.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of reagents, controls, and patient samples.
- Participate in departmental audits, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
