About this role

About the role...

Do you want to help drive change? Are you ready to be part of something special?

Cooper Parry is looking for a talented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our award-winning People Team, supporting the administration, continuous improvement and effective management of compensation, rewards and benefits programmes.

You’ll play an important role in delivering a fair, consistent and engaging reward experience for our people, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. Working closely with the People Team, Finance, Payroll, and wider business, you’ll help provide expert support and insights that contribute to both an exceptional employee experience and the achievement of our organisational goals.

We’re looking for someone who brings bags of enthusiasm and a real passion for people, who is used to operating at pace within a dynamic culture with changing goalposts. Our business is fast-moving and growing rapidly, so you’ll need to be able to deal with the change and ambiguity that comes with this kind of environment.

It’s a really diverse role, giving you the opportunity to get involved with a wide range of things like;

  • Supporting the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programmes and policies.
  • Conducting market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure competitive pay positioning.
  • Assisting with annual compensation review processes
  • Analysing compensation data and provide recommendations based on market trends and internal equity.
  • Producing compensation reports, dashboards, and insights for the People team and business leaders.
  • Administering employee reward & benefits programmes, including pensions, healthcare, life assurance, wellbeing initiatives, and voluntary benefits.
  • Managing relationships with benefits providers and brokers.
  • Supporting benefits renewals, enrolment activities, and communications campaigns.
  • Monitoring benefits utilisation and recommend enhancements to improve employee value and engagement.
  • Assisting in reviewing reward & benefits offerings to ensure they remain competitive and cost-effective.
  • Ensuring compensation practices comply with relevant employment and equal pay legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate compensation and benefits data within people systems.
  • Preparing regular reports and analysis on workforce costs, compensation trends, and benefits participation.
  • Supporting audits and compliance reviews relating to reward programmes.
  • Ensuring adherence to GDPR and data privacy requirements when handling employee information.
  • Partnering with the People Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of our programmes.
  • Supporting managers and employees with compensation-related queries and guidance.
  • Assisting with employee communications and training regarding compensation and benefits programmes.

About you...

At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.

As well as the above, you’ll also have;

  • Experience working in a Compensation, Benefits, Reward, or HR Specialist role.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking methodologies and benefits administration.
  • Experience leading/supporting annual salary review cycles.
  • Understanding employment legislation, equal pay principles, and data privacy
  • The ability to work at pace

It would also be handy (but not essential) to have;

  • Knowledge of job evaluation methodologies.
  • Experience with compensation survey providers (such as Mercer, WTW, or Korn Ferry).
  • Professional HR qualification (CIPD Level 5 or above).
  • Experience using Power BI or other reporting tools
