Job Title: Junior Payroll Administrator (12 months FTC)

The Role
As a Junior Payroll Administrator, you will support the Payroll team in delivering an accurate, efficient, and confidential payroll service across the business. You will assist with payroll processing activities, work with internal stakeholders, and ensure payroll data is maintained in line with company and legal requirements.
This role is ideal for someone starting their payroll career and looking to develop their knowledge within a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for assigned countries or entities
- Support the end-to-end payroll cycle in collaboration with outsourced payroll providers
- Input and validate payroll data from HR systems and other sources
- Help ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
- Support HR and Finance teams with payroll-related queries and issue resolution
- Assist with maintaining accurate employee payroll records
- Support statutory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with local legislation
- Help maintain payroll documentation in line with audit and compliance standards
- Assist in payroll reconciliations and month-end activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation
- Stay up to date with payroll legislation and internal policies
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Some experience in payroll, finance, or administration (internship or entry-level role acceptable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Customer service mindset with ability to handle queries professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Desirable
- Exposure to payroll systems or HRIS (e.g. Workday)
- Basic understanding of payroll legislation
- Experience working in a multinational or EMEA environment
- Interest in pursuing a payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP)

Hybrid working
We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection.
