Role Overview:
- As a Cloud Engineer – L1 at Cloud.in, you will be part of the AWS Cloud Operations team responsible for monitoring, operating and supporting customer cloud environments.
- The role involves 24×7 infrastructure monitoring, first-level troubleshooting, incident and service-request handling, routine AWS administration and timely escalation of issues in line with defined SLAs.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in AWS, Linux/Windows administration, networking and cloud monitoring, along with a willingness to work in a managed-services environment and learn new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor AWS cloud infrastructure and customer environments using defined monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Monitor availability, performance, alerts, logs and system health.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting of AWS infrastructure and operating-system issues.
- Provision and manage basic AWS resources as per approved SOPs and change procedures.
- Work with AWS services including: , EC2,S3, VPC,IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, Load Balancers / ALB, Auto Scaling,RDS,CloudFront, SNS, ACM, SSMPerform basic Linux and Windows server administration.
- Handle incidents, service requests, alerts and customer tickets within defined SLAs.
- Follow documented SOPs, checklists and operational procedures.
- Escalate complex or recurring issues to L2/L3 engineers with proper troubleshooting details.
- Perform routine server health checks, backup checks and monitoring validation.
- Assist with deployments, patching, configuration changes and standard operational activities.
- Support certificate, DNS, access and basic networking-related requests.
- Maintain accurate ticket updates and document actions taken and resolutions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal technical teams.
- Participate in shift handovers and ensure proper communication of pending/critical issues.
- Support planned maintenance and emergency activities as required.
- Create and maintain basic technical documentation, checklists and knowledge-base articles.Provide on-call support as required for critical customer environments.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Basic to good understanding of AWS Cloud.Working knowledge of:EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling.
- Basic Linux administration.
- Basic Windows Server administration.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and basic networking.
- Understanding of security groups, NACLs and VPN concepts.
- Basic knowledge of backup and disaster-recovery concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, network and service-related issues.Basic understanding of monitoring, alerts and logs.
- Familiarity with ticketing / ITSM processes.
- Ability to follow SOPs and escalation matrices.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- AWS certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate / SysOps Administrator Associate.
- Linux certification such as RHCSA/RHCE.
- Basic scripting knowledge – Shell / Python / PowerShell.
- Exposure to CloudFormation or Infrastructure as Code.
- Basic understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD.Exposure to CloudFront and CDN concepts.
- Understanding of AWS security and compliance.
- Basic understanding of cloud cost optimization.
- ITIL / incident / problem-management knowledge.Exposure to any monitoring or automation platform.

Education & Certification:
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./BCA/MCA or equivalent technical qualification.AWS certification preferred.
- Linux/Windows administration certification preferred.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in Cloud Operations, AWS Support, System Administration, NOC or Managed Services.
- Freshers with strong AWS and Linux fundamentals may also be considered.
