Senior Software Engineer (Python | React | AWS) Job Purpose As a Senior Software Engineer at CI&T, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor within cross-functional project teams, taking ownership of complex software solutions and technical decisions. You will design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain scalable applications using Python, React, and AWS, while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence. You will contribute to technical strategy, lead critical software initiatives, support production environments, and collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions. Required Technical Stack Core Tech Stack: Python | React/Next.js | AWS | PostgreSQL | Redis/Valkey | REST APIs | Microservices | CI/CD Python – Strong hands-on experience in Python development is required React/Next.js – Experience building modern web applications REST APIs & Microservices – Experience designing and developing scalable APIs and microservices PostgreSQL – Experience with relational databases, queries, and data management Redis/Valkey – Experience with caching and data storage solutions AWS – Experience with API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, and SES CI/CD – Experience with CircleCI and Serverless Framework Cloud & Production – Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support Key Accountabilities Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence Lead the design, development, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment of complex software features and enhancements Build and maintain scalable applications using Python, React/Next.js, and AWS Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions Establish coding standards, best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues Drive application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability Evaluate new technologies and contribute to technical risk assessments and proof-of-concept initiatives Team Development & Mentorship Mentor junior and middle-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing Support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and continuous learning Contribute to technical hiring, interviews, and assessments Provide constructive feedback and support team development Share expertise in Python, React/Next.js, AWS, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD Project Execution & Delivery Take ownership of complex technical tasks from design through deployment Deliver reliable, high-quality solutions within project timelines Provide technical estimates and planning input Coordinate technical dependencies across teams Contribute to Agile practices, release management, deployment, and production validation Balance feature delivery with technical debt and system maintenance Client & Stakeholder Engagement Participate in client and technical discussions to understand requirements Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Contribute to technical documentation and solution design Communicate technical issues, risks, recommendations, and resolutions clearly Provide technical input on feasibility, timelines, and project requirements Maintain strong client relationships through technical excellence Business Adaptability & Professional Growth Demonstrate Technical Leadership: Take ownership of complex challenges and make informed technical decisions Drive Continuous Growth: Adapt to new projects, technologies, and evolving business needs Execute Quality-Focused Development: Prioritize secure, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions Practice Effective Communication: Clearly communicate technical concepts and collaborate across teams Promote Engineering Excellence: Continuously improve development practices, system reliability, and delivery quality Core Technology Requirements Python | React/Next.js | AWS | PostgreSQL | Redis/Valkey | REST APIs | Microservices | CircleCI | Serverless Framework Strong hands-on experience in Python development, React/Next.js, AWS cloud services, API and microservices development, and CI/CD is expected.
