About this role

Position Overview

Mirazon is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Project Consulting team. This role is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting client technology solutions, including workstations, servers, Microsoft 365 environments, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.


The ideal candidate is a mid-level IT professional who can independently execute technology projects for small and midsize businesses while providing exceptional client service. This position works closely with Systems Engineers on larger and more complex engagements and serves as a trusted technical resource for clients throughout project delivery.

This is a hybrid position based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities

Project Implementation

  • Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and end-user technology
  • Install, configure, and migrate Microsoft 365 environments
  • Implement and maintain Windows Server environments
  • Deploy and configure virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Perform workstation refreshes, office relocations, and technology rollouts
  • Assist with cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization projects
  • Execute project tasks according to documented scope, timelines, and budgets


Infrastructure Administration

  • Configure and support network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and firewalls
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
  • Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Troubleshoot server, workstation, and network issues during project engagements


Client Consulting & Support

  • Serve as a technical resource during client meetings and project discussions
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements
  • Provide post-implementation support and knowledge transfer


Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers on larger infrastructure and cloud projects
  • Escalate complex technical challenges when appropriate
  • Contribute to documentation standards and technical best practices
  • Participate in training and professional development activities


Required Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience supporting and implementing business technology solutions
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migrations
  • Experience supporting Active Directory and Microsoft networking services
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Experience with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, and wireless networking


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with firewall administration and network security concepts
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), VAR, consulting organization, or internal IT department supporting multiple environments

  • Microsoft certifications

  • VMware certifications
  • Other relevant infrastructure or cloud certifications
