Job details:
We are hiring an IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshoot local hardware, software, connectivity, and workplace technology issues, and coordinate with the UK IT team for escalations, system permissions, infrastructure changes, and central administration.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line IT support to employees, resolving hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and peripheral issues.
- Maintain office IT equipment and accurate records of assigned hardware and IT assets.
- Troubleshoot LAN, internet, Wi-Fi, and IP connectivity issues and identify whether faults are local, network-related, or centrally managed.
- Log, prioritize, track, and resolve IT support requests through the company ticketing system.
- Work closely with the UK-based IT Manager and central IT team, acting as the local hands-on contact for remote troubleshooting.
- Support and troubleshoot workstations, peripherals, software, and connectivity used by game-testing teams.
- Assist with approved testing software deployment and coordinate centrally managed issues with the UK IT team.
- Support user onboarding, offboarding, and workstation setup.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID-related issues.
- Provide basic IT security support, including MFA, password, endpoint protection, and access-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT
- Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, technical support, or a similar role.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, server and workstation troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and IP addressing.
- Experience diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Ability to install and configure software and workplace equipment.
- Experience working with ticketing or IT service management systems.
- Ability to document incidents and technical solutions clearly.
- Good working level of English communication.
