About this role

Role Responsibilities

As an IT Risk Analyst within Western Union’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, you’ll help strengthen how we identify, understand and manage technology, cyber and operational resilience risks. Working with colleagues across Technology, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and the wider business, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of IT risk activities, including risk assessments, controls and regulatory requirements such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). This is an opportunity to build your expertise in a growing area of risk while working within a global environment.

  • Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of technology, cyber and operational resilience risks.
  • Work with Technology and other stakeholders on risk and control assessments, helping identify control gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Support risk governance and reporting activities, including monitoring key risk indicators, risk profile changes and remediation activities.
  • Contribute to Western Union’s approach to DORA and operational resilience, helping monitor requirements and assess how effectively they are embedded.
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues across Technology, Information Security, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit and the wider business.
  • Support the continued development of risk frameworks, policies, methodologies and reporting.
  • Develop your knowledge of Western Union’s technology environment and take increasing ownership of IT risk and operational resilience activities over time.

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience within IT, technology risk, internal audit or a related area.
  • Qualification in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of technology and an interest in developing your expertise in IT risk, cyber risk and operational resilience.
  • An ISACA qualification, or progress towards one, would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of your work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and an inquisitive approach to understanding technology risks and controls.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a wider, globally connected team.
