Short Description

Cooper IT is excited to offer an IT Product Manager position on our ERP-WFM and Business Applications Team. The IT Product Manager for ERP, Workforce Management, and Business Applications provides strategic and operational leadership for an assigned portfolio of enterprise applications. This portfolio may include enterprise resource planning, finance, supply chain, human resources, payroll, workforce management, scheduling, time and attendance, and other supporting business systems.

The Product Manager develops and executes the product vision and roadmap in partnership with business Product Owners, operational leaders, IT teams, and external vendors. This individual is responsible for understanding business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, managing the product backlog, establishing priorities, and ensuring that technology investments deliver measurable operational and organizational value.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in Product Management and would be responsible for: 

 

•    Develop, maintain, and communicate strategic product roadmaps for ERP, workforce management, and assigned business applications. •    Partner with business Product Owners and operational leaders to identify priorities, define desired outcomes, and align technology initiatives with organizational goals. •    Own and continually refine the product backlog, including features, enhancements, technical improvements, regulatory requirements, upgrades, and defect resolution. •    Establish work priorities for product teams based on business value, operational risk, regulatory requirements, dependencies, resource capacity, and strategic alignment. •    Lead the implementation, optimization, integration, upgrade, and lifecycle management of enterprise business applications. •    Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and implementation plans. •    Facilitate decision-making among executive leaders, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners. •    Lead cross-functional teams through system selection, design, testing, deployment, stabilization, adoption, and ongoing optimization. •    Coordinate application releases and ensure appropriate testing, change management, communication, training, operational readiness, and post-implementation support. •    Monitor product performance, adoption, service levels, customer satisfaction, system reliability, and delivery of expected business benefits. •    Identify and manage product risks, dependencies, technical debt, integration concerns, and competing priorities. •    Manage vendor relationships, including performance, service levels, issue escalation, product direction, and coordination with implementation partners. •    Support budget planning, resource forecasting, contract evaluation, and technology investment recommendations. •    Promote continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and effective use of enterprise application capabilities. •    Provide clear and timely updates to executives, governance committees, business leaders, and other stakeholders. •    Support major implementations, upgrades, go-lives, and critical production issues when necessary

Experience Required

3-5 yearsPrefer Five to Seven years (or more) of relevant experience in IT and business/industry or government

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree preferredHealth Information Technology, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or other related field of studyProfessional Licensure (such a R.N.) and Industry Certifications in lieu of Bachelor’s degree; equivalent work experience considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

Special Requirements

•    Communication – Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers•    Experience with engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions.•    3+ years in diverse roles and increasing responsibilities across business and IT.•    Knowledge of product management disciplines and software development life cycle.•    Effective in translating technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technical professionals.•    Ability to problem solve business and stakeholder customer processes and problems, and is effective at solving these problems.•    This position may be performed remotely.  Preference would be to have a candidate located in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware tri-state area who can attend onsite meetings and support major project milestones when needed. Remote candidates outside the tri-state area will also be considered. Occasional travel to Cooper University Health Care locations in Southern New Jersey may be required.
