The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing all information technology operations for the property, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of business-critical systems that support hotel, gaming, and guest services. The role oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, network operations, user support, system compliance, vendor management, disaster recovery, and technology projects while ensuring alignment with Minor Hotels' standards and regional IT requirements. The IT Manager plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence, business continuity, and an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all hotel IT systems, infrastructure, networks, hardware, and software.
- Ensure compliance with Minor Hotels IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
- Oversee system security, user access management, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to all departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage critical hospitality systems, including PMS, POS, finance, gaming, telecommunications, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and guest-facing technologies.
- Coordinate and support technology projects, upgrades, implementations, and system enhancements.
- Manage IT vendors, service contracts, software licensing, and service level agreements.
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget, IT assets, and capital expenditure requirements.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Lead user training initiatives and support the adoption of new technologies across the property.
- Collaborate with Regional and Corporate IT teams to implement company-wide technology initiatives and standards.
- Provide on-call support for critical systems affecting guests, revenue generation, safety, and business operations.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, inventories, and compliance reporting.
- Support the delivery of a seamless guest experience through reliable technology services and guest connectivity solutions.
- Lead and develop any team members reporting into the IT function while fostering a culture of service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, CompTIA, Cybersecurity, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Technology, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or service-oriented environment is preferred.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cybersecurity, and business-critical systems.
- Proven experience supporting hospitality applications, including PMS, POS, finance, gaming, telecommunications, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and guest-facing technologies.
- Experience in IT budgeting, vendor management, disaster recovery planning, and project implementation.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, data protection, and information security practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and network environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to support and train users while driving technology adoption across the business.
- Willingness to provide after-hours support for critical business and guest-facing systems when required.
