About this role

Help keep our systems running, our reports moving and our people supported.

Scope Healthcare is a growing healthcare group providing cardiac, sleep and respiratory diagnostics, radiology and specialist services.

We are seeking a practical, service-focused IT & Clinical Applications Support Officer to become the central point of contact for staff needing help with medical software, reporting systems and everyday technology.

About the role

You will work closely with our clinical, administration and reports teams to support the applications and connected devices used across Scope Healthcare.

Your work will combine troubleshooting and staff support with scheduled technical tasks that keep diagnostic studies and reports moving accurately and on time. Some activities are repetitive and require consistent attention to detail, reliable follow-through and a willingness to take ownership of daily processes.

You will resolve everyday issues internally and coordinate more advanced support with our outsourced IT provider, software vendors and equipment suppliers.

Key responsibilities

·    Support our staff: Be the first point of contact for application and IT queries, providing clear, patient and practical assistance.

·    Keep reporting workflows moving: Complete routine technical tasks such as downloading and uploading study data, checking patient and study details, preparing files for clinician review and assisting with the distribution of approved reports.

·    Resolve reporting problems: Investigate missing files, failed transfers, access issues and other technical problems that delay reporting.

·    Support medical applications and devices: Assist with software setup, connectivity and data transfers for systems supporting echocardiography, ECGs, Holter monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, home sleep studies, lung function testing and radiology.

·    Provide everyday IT support: Troubleshoot Windows computers, Microsoft 365, remote desktop access, printers, scanners and basic connectivity issues.

·    Own support requests: Record and prioritise issues, keep staff informed and follow escalated matters through to resolution with external providers.

·    Assist with system administration: Support approved user access changes, staff onboarding and offboarding, application updates and testing.

·    Improve how we work: Develop clear instructions, help staff use applications confidently and identify opportunities to simplify or automate repetitive tasks.

·    Handle information carefully: Maintain patient confidentiality, accurate records and appropriate system access.

Clinical interpretation and report approval remain the responsibility of the relevant clinicians.

You are an IT-focused problem solver who enjoys helping people and understands the importance of dependable systems in a busy healthcare environment.

You will bring:

·    Practical experience in IT support, a service desk or application support.

·    Sound knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, remote access tools and basic networking.

·    A methodical approach to troubleshooting and the ability to learn unfamiliar software.

·    Strong attention to detail and the discipline to complete recurring tasks accurately.

·    Clear communication skills and patience when supporting people with different levels of technical confidence.

·    The ability to balance scheduled work with incoming support requests and recognise when specialist assistance is needed.

·    Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with medical software, diagnostic reporting platforms, imaging systems or connected medical devices will be highly regarded. Skills in workflow automation, Excel or basic scripting would also be an advantage.

• Permanent full-time role with an established and growing specialist diagnostics group.

• Work directly with the diagnostic team including respiratory physicians, sleep physicians and cardiologists across multiple testing streams.

• Training on all equipment and software.
