Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Stakeholder Lead to lead internal stakeholder engagement and coordination under the Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) Outreach and Digital Enterprise Services (MODES) contract. You will support collaboration, information sharing, feedback integration, and alignment across MC&FP and DoD stakeholders to ensure coordinated planning and effective execution across functional teams..

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement and coordination with internal MC&FP and DoD stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, information sharing, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary internal coordination point for stakeholder engagement, feedback capture, issue escalation, and integration of stakeholder inputs into planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with MC&FP's goals, priorities, and mission requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders, department heads, project managers, functional teams, and individual contributors across MC&FP and related DoD stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to disseminate key messages, updates, decisions, and program information through appropriate internal channels.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among MC&FP teams to support knowledge sharing, operational alignment, and effective problem-solving.
  • Create mechanisms to collect, organize, and analyze internal stakeholder feedback, converting feedback into actionable insights and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Work closely with directors, functional leads, and senior leaders to ensure consistent stakeholder engagement approaches, coordinated messaging, and alignment across initiatives.
  • Track stakeholder engagement activities, dependencies, risks, decisions, and action items to maintain visibility and support timely execution.
  • Prepare internal engagement materials, leadership updates, briefings, talking points, meeting summaries, and stakeholder communication products.
  • Elevate risks, issues, gaps, and stakeholder concerns to senior leadership with recommended mitigation actions and communication strategies.
  • Support continuity of operations by ensuring internal stakeholders receive timely information and remain aligned during planning, transition, execution, and issue response activities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of internal stakeholder engagement, organizational communications, change communication, strategic alignment, and cross-functional coordination within large organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for executives, managers, technical teams, program personnel, and mission stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, internal messaging frameworks, and feedback collection mechanisms.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to lead meetings, working groups, stakeholder sessions, and cross-functional coordination forums.
  • Ability to synthesize stakeholder feedback, identify trends, develop actionable insights, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track dependencies, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive internal communications, stakeholder concerns, and leadership-level issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to support collaboration, trust, information flow, and alignment across distributed teams and complex organizational environments.
  • Proficiency with common business, collaboration, presentation, and productivity tools used to develop stakeholder updates, briefings, reports, schedules, and communications products.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Management, Strategic Communication, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, internal communications, organizational communications, program coordination, change communication, or a related role, preferably within a large organization.
  • Experience engaging with senior executives, department heads, project managers, functional teams, and diverse internal stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication plans, internal engagement strategies, stakeholder updates, and organizational alignment approaches.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing stakeholder feedback, developing insights, and using data to support communication improvements and leadership decisions.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams, working groups, program coordination activities, and internal communication rhythms in complex or mission-focused environments.
  • Experience within a federal, defense, public-sector, nonprofit, or large enterprise environment is preferred.
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance.
