About this role
Our Client a major global agriculture company, that focuses on innovative seed technologies, crop protection and digital farming solutions, is looking to hire Stores and Inventory Interns to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Issuing and receiving of Packaging Correctly.
- Monitor Stock Position of Consumables and inform the plant supervisor before 1 month of production of stock finishes.
- Ensure Proper House Keeping
- Ensure Only Approved Quantities are issued For Production
- Update All issued and received stock in the Packaging Consumable report daily/within 24hrs of stock movements.
- Participate Actively on EHS & quality programs.
- Participate in 5WHY problem solving identifying corrective and preventative actions.
- Adhere to all the procedures in stores or related.
- Stock monitoring and management of all the consumables.
- Record all daily movements accordingly.
- Prepare and document material transfers while adhering to established procedures.
- Manage personnel to ensure excellent housekeeping.
- Complete documentation and report stock availability in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the monitoring and control of inventory on a regular basis to ensure zero variance between pastel and physical stock.
- Check that the quantity on the PO corresponds with the invoice and the physical stock received and ensure this is submitted to the plant supervisor for signing immediately received.
- Count all the stock weekly.
- Reconcile inventory every week and submit to the Conditioning Plant inventory specialist. Should there be any deviation a root cause must be done immediately and submitted for reviews to the plant supervisor.
- Counting and Receiving of all consumable stock for the Processing plant.
- Good HousekeepingΒ
- Actively report safety observation and near misses
- Quality control: Ensure there is no mix-up of variety stickers by putting all items where they are supposed to be.
- Must have valid membership with ZIPS or CIPS
- Must have a minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, Procurement or related study
- Must be Fluent in at least 2 local languages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good in Mathematics and arithmetic
- Only recent graduates in the Procurement Field are encouraged apply
